The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed regarding the superior variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services position produced for intervention ordeals a high influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough sassa for the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to enable the servicing of all consumers and maximize usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
